Five anonymous jazz cuts from our colleagues in Japan and a Carl Sagan DJ Tool for posterity.
Background:
On a lonely planet, sirens ring out across a darkening cityscape. The people bicker, torn over Big vs. Pac and dwindling resources. In Palm Springs the tide is turning perceptibly, as a petal-faced villain known as Kim Jong Spoon dishes some chump’s sugar lumps out, disrespectfully. A saxophone offers respite from this tiring exchange, as the people’s limbs limber to the percussive arrangement. The crowd parts, and for the third time through clock radio speakers with the wisdom of a bigger brother, Carl reminds us of our common ground – the local dance hall. And thus, the needle hits the platter rekindling the belief that always now is the time to be – because it’s chaos in the PBD.
